We are bpha, an ambitious Housing Association based in Bedford, operating throughout the Oxford to Cambridge growth corridor. We employ over 400 people, have an annual turnover in excess of £120m and a development programme that will see us build around 3,000 new homes over the next five years making it one of the top 25 of developing associations with 21,000 homes.

We have a great opportunity for a Housing & Support Manager to come and manage a small team of Retirement Living Senior and Scheme Support Coordinators, Cleaners, Caretakers and Handypersons. This role will responsible for Extra Care Schemes in Oxford. 

This opportunity will give you involvement in building and maintaining positive working relationships both internally and externally, ensuring that an excellent service is delivered to those who live in our scheme.

Whilst managing your team, you will also proactively manage rent accounts and void loss and be aware of the Housing Support Needs of residents; developing and regularly reviewing Support Plans and reporting on your findings.

You will be a success in this role if you:

  • Have a working knowledge of housing-related legislation and core housing management services

  • Have experience in Tenancy Management, specifically with Intensive Housing and the needs of older people

  • Be a natural leader

  • Skilfully create solutions to existing and foreseeable issues

  • Develop purposeful relationships with customers and colleagues alike

  • Thrive working in a busy team of like-minded individuals
