£49,913 per annum (rising to £52,540 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)  - Company car or car allowance included

 

35 hours per week

We are looking for an ambitious and driven individual with excellent technical knowledge and experience within the building industry to take on this exciting opportunity as Design Manager. You will join a large Construction team within the wider Development function. The team is responsible for delivering new build and refurbishment residential development projects for the Group.

 

The role of Design Manager will include:

  • Providing technical support and guidance on a daily basis for all construction sites from pre-contract through to completion
  • Driving forward all aspects of technical design to allow for smooth delivery of construction programmes
  • Ensuring projects are carried out in agreement with design and quality standards and agreed budgets and ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory standards
  • Managing the control of documents between all stakeholders throughout all construction projects and collating and issuing final documents at the completion of projects
  • Providing technical support and advice for all construction schemes from pre-contract stage through to completion
  • Managing a team, providing guidance and support and promoting the development of staff

 

Skills and experiences:

  • ​​​Proven experience in a similar role within the building industry with good knowledge of building processes for new build residential development sites
  • High level of technical knowledge relating to new build residential developments
  • Good knowledge and the ability to operate Auto CAD drawing packages
  • Experience of coordinating, managing and providing technical guidance and support for residential developments
  • Excellent knowledge of current regulations, legislation and Health and Safety practises
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
