An opportunity has arisen to join the Voids Control & Allocations Team at Northampton Partnership Homes. Northampton Partnership Homes is an arms-length management organisation, formed in January 2015 that manages around 11,700 homes on behalf of Northampton Borough Council. The successful candidate for this position will help the Voids Control team to provide a rehousing service to the public via a Choice Based Lettings Scheme. There will also be a requirement to shortlist applicants and ensure allocations/nominations are made to Housing providers for vacancies in line with policies, practices and targets. This will include updating and maintaining records on allocations/nominations and associated applications. You will be committed to working with the team and partners to achieve common goals and ensure performance at highest level, have good communication skills and take personal responsibility for providing an excellent service.
Part of this role will also include obtaining and analysing lettings returns from Housing Associations and CORE data comparing with the Council’s own records to ensure the Council receives its appropriate percentage of nomination rights. Regular liaison with individuals and agencies relating to all aspects of the housing allocations process will also be required. An ability to work flexibly within a team environment will be absolutely vital to enable a high level of excellent customer service is delivered.
