This role

The Reporting Accountant is responsible for ensuring reporting solutions are fit for purpose.This will include gathering requirements, specifying, designing and delivering new reports; making decisions on the best way to produce information and checking that the output meets the required standard.The post holder will be required to work closely with the Finance team and the business to understand requirements.The post holder will also be responsible for understanding the chart of accounts, all the finance systems including interfacing systems and the relevant accounting standards to ensure integrity in all the output.The post holder will need to schedule and run reports to ensure they are produced on time.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A CCAB, CIMA or Overseas equivalent qualified accountant. Exceptions will be given to suitably part qualified accountant with relevant experience

  • Experience of gathering requirements, designing and developing reports

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a reporting environment

  • Advanced IT literacy

  • Previous experience of working with reporting solutions such as TM1, Tableau, Power BI will be beneficial

  • An affinity with the work of the social housing / care sector
