Location: Appletree Court, Lyndhurst

Salary:  Band 9 - up to £47,082.27 per year

Car cash allowance: £2,274.60 per year paid monthly;

Hours: 37 per week

New Forest District Council is the largest housing provider in the District with over 5,000 Council dwellings made up of houses, flats, hostels and schemes providing extra care. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Asset Maintenance Manager to lead our housing asset management function.

This is a key role within the service and under the leadership of the service manager you will be responsible for managing all aspects of housing compliance and asset management functions and will have a strong background in asset management and statutory compliance field related to social housing.

You will be responsible for following areas:-

  • All legislative servicing and compliance with regard to Landlords' health and safety obligations;

  • Ensuring the Council maintains legal compliance with statutory fire safety regulations, as well as fire standards;

  • Asbestos Management;

  • Stock Condition of HRA assets;

  • Housing asset management;

  • Managing delegated Capital and Revenue budgets;

  • Planned and Cyclical programmes;

  • Providing leadership and undertaking day to day management duties of the Compliance and Asset Management Teams

  • Providing specialist technical advice;

  • Ensuring a customer focused, value for money and high quality Maintenance Service is delivered
