Our people care, dare and collaborate to ensure we achieve this People Powered Living.

About The Role

This is a flexible role for a Support Worker to join our bank in Bishops Stortford. While weekly hours are not guaranteed the benefit of this role is that we can offer you the flexibility to fit with your circumstances. As we offer a service 24/7 this can include day or night work as required.

You will be supporting 24 customers in a purpose built service. All the customers are older people and you will support them to maintain a dignified standard of living and to live as independently as possible. While some personal care will be required your focus is on encouraging inclusion and be a significant support to our customers. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to

  • Encouraging good hygiene habits

  • Supporting customers in keeping their independent flats in good condition

  • Supporting customers in managing their own health care

  • Day to day living skills such as food preparation and shopping

  • Supporting customers with managing their finances and tenancies

  • Following and updating support plans

What you’ll need to succeed

While some experience in care and support is desirable it is not essential. What you do require is a passion to deliver excellent service to vulnerable adults in a dignified manner. You will need to be able to work independently as there is lone working in this post.

What you`ll get in return

An opportunity to work for a leading housing organisation that is able to offer you a career and support your development. Everyone that joins has an individual learning pathway that supports you in your personal development including completing your care certificate. If you have the passion to learn we can encourage it. We know this will empower you to better support customers to be independent.

If you are looking for flexibility, but still want to work for an employer that values you and develops you we are the employer for you.
