About the role
We`re recruiting for a registered manager to join our award winning team at a residential care home and a small supported living service based in Hoddesdon and Cheshunt, Hertfordshire.
You will be leading two dedicated staff teams to ensure the homes and services run smoothly and provide flexible services to meet individuals and the changing needs of the people we support.
Haslewood provides residential care to eight people with physical, learning disabilities and complex needs. Residents are supported with day-to-day living including personal care and nutritional needs and the service has the specialist equipment needed to provide a high level of quality care. The service has regular input from other health professionals such as occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and doctors. Recently the home was awarded its HCPA Gold Member Status for Leadership and Quality Assurance for 2019.
Warren Court provides a small supported living service for seven people with learning disabilities who each have their own independent flats.
At both services, support is provided to residents to maintain contact with family members who are encouraged to be involved in their relatives care. Residents are also supported to access day services as well as participate in meaningful activities in and around the home.
About You
Working closely with the staff team, you will:
- Ensure the home runs smoothly, providing flexible services to meet individual and changing needs of the people we support, whilst acting as a role model for staff
- Be highly motivated and experienced in working with people with a wide range of needs
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of CQC standards
- Have excellent management and organisational skills, along with the ability to manage a service budget, whilst supporting and supervising a staff team
- Be a good administrator, able to communicate well with staff and residents, committed to providing residents with choice to ensure the delivery of a person-centred service
The ability to cover on-call is essential. A full driving licence and use of a car is also required.
