Job Details

We’re looking for a customer-focused individual with energy, experience and a strong sense of purpose to join us as a Mobile Specialist.

The UK has a housing problem. This affects every one of us, because housing is the foundation of the society we live in. Catalyst is part of the solution. You could be too.

One of the UK’s leading housing associations, Catalyst is here to make a purposeful difference by providing housing solutions for those who can’t afford a home without our help. We offer a wide range of homes, for rent, part ownership or purchase. By doing so, we build more than homes – we build communities.

We're at a particularly exciting point in our story, having recently merged with another large housing association, Aldwyck. The merger makes us stronger and more able to deliver our social purpose - in every part of our organisation.

We’re always seeking to do better. If you are too, read on.

As a Mobile Specialist you will represent Catalyst and work closely with all Neighbourhood Service Teams to provide excellent customer service to customers and colleagues. You will work extensively with our internal and external partners to support our customers by referring them to our triage services, debt advice, Housing Benefit and DSS and any other relevant partner services. You will communicate and negotiate with internal and external customers effectively via written communication, in/out bound phone contact, use of digital platforms and by conducting face-to-face meetings and home visits (as appropriate).  You will attend evictions where this is required.

You are passionate about delivering excellent customer experience every time, by being easy, reliable and empathetic in the way you deal with customers and colleagues.

You will be confident and flexible in managing a diverse work load across multiple locations and able to meet targets and deadlines whilst working under daily pressure. You will possess excellent working knowledge of the arrears recovery process from beginning to end across a range of tenures, with experience of working in a demanding customer service environment. You will works with colleagues to ensure a shared understanding of customer focused behaviours and to continuously improve own and Catalyst’s services to customers.

The post holder is required to have a full UK drivers licence. The role will be expected to be fully mobile. The position will be based in our Reading office and regular travel to our Ealing office is a must and all relevant mileage will be paid.

We’re a Sunday Times top 100 Best Company to Work for. We invest a lot of time and resources in our people because we know it’s our people who will drive our success. If you’d like to join us, and help make a real difference, please get in touch.

The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
