Salary - £24 718 pro-rata

Oxfordshire Domestic Abuse Service deliver a 'Single Point of Access' service, refuge provision, and outreach services (including specialist BAMER and Complex Needs services) for people experiencing domestic abuse.
We are recruiting a refuge support worker, to deliver bespoke, non-judgement support to those fleeing domestic abuse into refuge.
Key duties include:
To take referrals and carry out needs and risk assessments of prospective clients, liaising with health professionals, other agencies and colleagues as appropriate.
To ensure that prospective and current clients are fully aware of the support available, their financial obligations, rights and responsibilities under their tenancy/occupation arrangements and all related procedures.
To agree and review client Independent Living Plans and Risk Assessments on a regular basis and deliver contracted hours of support achieving the required outcomes.
To deliver the support identified in an Independent Living Plan through regular personal contact as appropriate, taking follow up action as required.
Essential experience:
Experience and understanding of the impacts of domestic and sexual abuse
Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
Working knowledge of MARAC processes
Evidence of the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, including the ability to listen actively and match communication to the needs of the recipient
Confident communicating with people who are in distress
Up to date knowledge of housing, criminal, civil and welfare rights legislation relating to domestic violence
