Head of Housing Strategy

As Head of Housing Strategy* you will lead, develop, and oversee the delivery of an overall strategic plan incorporating the vision, values, aims and aspirations for housing across the borough, provide high quality strategy advice, and develop new and exciting approaches to support the Council to meet the needs of our existing and future residents.

You will be expected Lead the Housing Projects team in supporting the department’s service improvement through planning, managing and delivering complex transformation and business change including strategic thinking, service improvement and cultural change.

*Grade subject to evaluation

The Person

The successful applicant will have a positive, can-do attitude and approach to supporting the council to deliver their priorities.

You will have demonstrable experience of leadership and management skills – driving projects and programmes, leading through change, and managing a small but highly skilled team to maximise their talents and ambitions.

You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work creatively and positively to find solutions to problems. You will be resilient, highly motivated and able to work with agility in a pressurised political environment.
