We're looking for a bright and enthusiastic Apprentice Estate Services Mobile Operative to join the team based in Bow, London. You will need to enjoy working with people and be able to use your knowledge and experience to make a real difference to our communities and our customers.

About the role

You'll be responsible for bulk refuse collections, minor repairs, pressure washing and operating machinery.

You'll be driving / loading a rapid response bulk refuse collection vehicle and collect bulk refuse and unwanted items from various internal and external locations. This is a varied and challenging role, which requires commitment, good customer care skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and a 'can do' mentality.

About you

You will often be working alone and therefore need to be able to work on your own initiative and be self-motivated to organise your own time effectively. You will need to be proactive in your daily activities and aware of safe working practices. You'll have the ability to deal with members of the public, staff and community representatives in a courteous, effective and professional manner.

Previous experience of operating principles and maintenance needs of bulk refuse vehicles and machinery as well as experience of carrying out minor repairs is desirable, however not essential at apprentice level.

About the Apprenticeship

We offer the opportunity to study for a Facilities Management Level 3 apprenticeship which will take up to two years to complete. You'll develop new key skills and behaviours which will support your personal development and progression. Where you have not already achieved Level 2 English and Maths, you must do so before taking the end-point assessment.
