Project Worker
Haverhill, Suffolk
Full Time, 39 hours a week
£18,252 - £19,738 per annum (dependent on experience)
Notting Hill Genesis are actively recruiting for an experienced Project Worker to work across two of their supported housing schemes located in Haverhill, Suffolk.
Notting Hill Genesis is one of the largest providers of housing related support to single homeless people within Suffolk. We have recently undergone an ambitious change programme within several of our schemes across the county. The aim of the new services is to ensure our customers achieve their goals and aspirations through the support, encouragement and guidance of our staff.
This is an exciting time to join Notting Hill Genesis as we are recruiting to several jobs in the Suffolk area. Located across two of our services in Haverhill, the Project Worker will be responsible for delivering person-centred services. The two schemes are accommodation based environments that support single homeless people who may have experienced drug, alcohol, substance misuse problems, and/or have varying support needs.
The primary focus of our schemes is to support clients in a range of areas, including finding employment, recovery from addiction, and building stability through a range of social activities. A successful outcome is achieved when our customers can move on to more suitable long-term accommodation, appropriate to their needs.
This is a Level two position so previous supported housing or Hostel experience is desirable for this role as you will be supporting single homeless people that can display challenging behavior and you are needed to go in and hit the ground running. Less experienced candidates may also be considered.
You may be required to lone work and you will need to use your own initiative so we need a strong willed and confident individual. We want to find motivational individual's that have a genuine interest working with vulnerable people and delivering a person-centred service.
Hours will be 39 hours a week, over a rota basis. You will be required to work some weekends.
