We are looking for 6 Casual Hostel Support Workers to join our Support Team at Alt Bank House.

Alt Bank House is a homeless hostel for men and women with complex support needs. The Hostel has 36 flats and 6 move on accommodation within the grounds. We are recruiting for Casual Hostel Support Workers who are able to cover for permanent staff absences such as annual leave or sickness. You will be able to work a variety of shifts across a wide range of days, being available to cover shifts as and when required.

Reporting to the Team Leader, Housing and Wellbeing you will provide high quality accommodation, housing management and support to the client group. Duties will include completing mainstay assessments, managing vacancies and waiting list on mainstay. You will provide support to all tenants of the hostel at any time and manage a caseload to develop support plans based on individual needs.

You will assist and advise residents on issues such as budgeting, welfare benefits, training and education, and will signpost them to other agencies as appropriate. You will monitor and manage the rents accounts for the individuals on their caseload and take action in line with the hostel's arrears policies and procedures.

To be successful you should have experience of working with homeless or vulnerable client groups and knowledge of welfare and housing benefits. An enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
