Raven Housing Trust has a clear social purpose: building homes and changing lives. When you join us as a New Business Project Manager – where you will be responsible for sourcing and securing new development opportunities to deliver Raven’s growth targets. – you’ll also be focused on delivering a service that keeps our residents and other customers satisfied.

We are a social business, investing in homes and lives across Surrey and Sussex to create and support flourishing communities. Everyone at Raven believes in taking personal responsibility for ensuring that we deliver exactly what we promise – because that’s how you build trust, security and a sense of belonging.

Reporting to the New Business Manager (Land), our New Business Project Manager will lead on securing sites in Raven’s areas of operation for development by the organisation for a range of tenures, notably market sale and social rent. You will build great networks to acquire sites and procure new developments.

You will also be expected to oversee the acquisition of land and securing planning consents. Ensuring projects are handed over to the delivery team with a clear and deliverable brief and maintaining a network of connections to support new business are also key duties.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in New Business and raven are committed to supporting your development and experience in this area of the business. To secure this exciting opportunity, we’re looking for a professional, flexible and commercially aware individual who has a broad understanding of the development process across affordable housing and market sale delivery, planning law, process and practice, and of contract structures. An outstanding communicator, verbal and written, you will also have experience of residential development delivery or land buying, contract negotiations and financial modelling, while strong project management, networking and interpersonal skills are also vital.

Most importantly, you share our values: earning trust by being open and accountable, listening with an open mind, working collaboratively and caring about making things better.

When you join Raven, you’ll become an integral part of a 220+ team of talented, enthusiastic and innovative people who are committed to building communities. We don’t just invest in neighbourhoods, we invest in our people too. We offer good salaries and benefits, a great pension scheme, 27 days’ paid holiday (FTE) plus bank and statutory holidays,  sickness benefit and a comprehensive package of H&S and personal development training to enable staff to develop their skills and careers.
