Role Description
This is an opportunity to work as part of the newly established Service Delivery Unit, coordinating the strategic direction of the Housing and Regeneration service. You will be assisting with the development of Council strategy, plans and policy in relation to Housing and Regeneration and supporting the development of a strategic commissioning framework.
Key Duties
- Lead on the development, consultation and review of key Housing & Regeneration strategies and plans
- Commission services and projects that align with corporate objectives
- Work with providers to deliver best practice and value for money
- Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective joined up delivery
- Identify future service challenges and opportunities, and support the development of strategic solutions
Experience and skills required
- Experience of strategy development, commissioning and procurement
- A good understanding of the social housing sector
- Excellent communication skills and a customer focussed approach
