We have an exciting opportunity for someone to lead and manage our new Independent Living Service. Based at city hall in Norwich the successful candidate will set up the new service which will provide support and management services to the city’s 900 plus tenants in sheltered housing and bring together the home improvements service - a cross tenure service seeking to help and support people with disabilities to live independently.  The team comprises occupational therapists, support workers, case workers and specialist technical advice and is a sector leader in performance and practice of developing grant funded and housing revenue account funded projects.

You will work directly with the closely with the head of neighbourhood housing services, care services and support agencies to develop a first class service to people who need physical and practical support to help them live life to the full. You will have experience and be qualified in this field of work, have first class networking and partnership skills and be able to set and deliver a vision for supported and independent living for people regardless of their tenure. You will also be key part of the service leadership team which is building and delivering housing and housing services fit for the future.

As part of the interview process, we will require candidates to give a ten minute presentation on ‘The future of independent living – the role of the home improvements agencies’. Further information will be provided to those selected for interview.
