Octavia believes that good homes make for better lives.
Inspired by our founder, the social reformer Octavia Hill, we are a not-for-profit organisation providing thousands of people with good-quality affordable homes in inner London. Like her we believe in the power of well-planned, well-managed housing to make a difference.
We aim to build happier lives and resilient communities by providing a responsive, supportive and effective housing management service with staff committed to integrated working within and across teams to deliver on resident priorities.
The Housing Management Team, of which the Income Team is a part, is responsible for the provision of an effective and responsive service to current and prospective tenants of the Association.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide targeted and proactive advice and support to residents who are affected by Universal Credit prioritising support for new claims.
- To help residents understand the Welfare Reform changes, identify their needs and issues and help them prepare for the changes.
- To complete financial assessments with prospective tenants and evaluate the financial position of households who are in rent arrears or finding it difficult to make payments and provide them with practical support and advice to establish and manage their budget.
- Provide and promote money advice in a variety of ways; this will include budgeting advice, money saving tips and referrals to internal departments and external specialist agencies where necessary.
Please note this role is a 1 year fixed term contract.
Interviews will be held on Wednesday 25th September 2019
