Local Space is a dynamic and growing organisation that combines financial strength and partnership working to provide homes for those in greatest need. We currently own 2,400 homes, mainly in the east end of London, the majority of which give homeless people a place to live; the remainder meet housing need for keyworkers, most of whom work in the public sector.

Our innovative business model has seen the business develop and deliver an ambitious programme of 800 homes since 2016 due for completion by 2021, all underpinned by Local Space having achieved both a AA- credit rating from S&P Global Ratings and G1 V1 ratings from the Regulator of Social Housing.  

The next stage of our journey will focus on improving our customer offer and ensuring that digitalisation of our infrastructure brings enhanced outcomes in service delivery and efficiency. 

We are now looking to refresh and add new skills to our Board and wish to appoint suitably qualified and experienced Non-Executive Directors with the ability to operate effectively at a strategic level.  We particularly wish to attract people who bring additional skills in the following areas:

• Treasury Management
• IT and Digitalisation (which may include project management skills)
• Asset Management/Repairs and Maintenance
