Notting Hill Genesis are recruiting for a Waking Night Worker to join their team located in Ipswich.

Notting Hill Genesis is one of the largest providers of housing related support to single homeless people within Suffolk. The aim of the services is to ensure our customers achieve their goals and aspirations through the support, encouragement and guidance of our staff.

Located at our Cavendish Lodge scheme in Ipswich, the Waking Night Worker will be responsible for the safety and well being of our customers and security of our scheme at night. The Cavendish Lodge scheme is an accommodation based environment that supports single homeless people who may have experienced drug, alcohol, substance misuse problems, and/or have varying support needs.

The primary focus of our schemes is to support clients in a range of areas, including finding employment, signposting to external agencies, and building stability through a range of social activities. A successful outcome is achieved when our customers can move on to more suitable long-term accommodation, appropriate to their needs.

Although previous supported housing experience would be suitable for this role, we are also looking for inspirational individuals who will seize the potential of making a difference in people's lives. We are looking for a strong willed and confident individual who can use their own initiative and can work well in challenging situations. We want to find motivational individual's that have a genuine interest working with vulnerable people and delivering a person-centred service.
You'll need to be strong willed and confident as you will be supporting customers that can display challenging behavior. We want to find motivational individuals that have a genuine interest working with vulnerable people.

All applicants must have strong written and verbal skills. Good IT skills are also essential as a large amount of work is done on the compute, including database management, e-mail communications and spread sheets.
