At St Mungo’s our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions.

The Real Lettings service operates a social lettings scheme, providing housing management support and advice to tenants throughout their Real Lettings tenancy and aims to prepare them for move on into the private rented sector.

We manage a property fund which is an exciting, innovative, social impact investment fund investing in residential property and creating social impact in homelessness. St Mungo’s have worked in partnership with Resonance, a Fund Manager specialising in social impact, to raise over £200 million of investment. This has been used to purchase self-contained properties in which to house homeless individuals and families.

Within our property portfolio of over 800 properties we also have two St Mungo’s sites (Cedars Road, Clapham and Arlington Flats, Lewisham) providing homes for approximately 70 people who have experienced homelessness. For this role we are looking for someone who can provide housing management support and advice to those tenants by working across the two sites.

We are looking for a Private Rented Sector Coordinator to supervise the successful delivery and management of the two sites working alongside the Service Manager and relevant internal departments to resolve any reported issues impacting on service delivery and/ or tenant engagement. You will ensure effective accommodation allocation, inductions, rents, void management and repairs reporting are conducted for the two sites.

Other areas include line management responsibilities, liaising with internal departments, external agencies and contractors, and implementing and reviewing procedures.  Further tasks involve monitoring service KPIs, helping to deliver continuous improvement objectives and innovate our working practices to increase the service’s social impact.

To be successful, you will have experience of housing/property management and delivering a professional and effective housing management service.  You will also have experience of assessing the support needs of vulnerable clients.  Providing excellent customer service as well as building and maintaining effective internal and external partnerships is also required.

This is a varied and fast-paced role which will see the successful candidate using their initiative and problem solving skills to positively impact the lives of our tenants and empower them to progress.
