Housing Officer – Part time

£28,373 per annum (rising to £29,867 after 12 months service subject to satisfactory performance) pro rata
21.5 hours per week – Wednesday 9.00am-4.00pm, Thursday - 9.00am-5.00pm, Friday 9.00am-5.00pm

The role of Housing Officer will include:
Working within the local operations housing team, as Housing Officer you will be responsible for delivering a high quality housing management service across South Yorkshire. Your specific duties will include; handling customer enquiries from our repairs and housing management call centers. You will be responsible for viewing of properties, sign up of tenants, general tenancy management (including Anti-Social Behaviour case work), scheme risk assessments, home visits and ensuring gas and fire safety compliance is met. In addition, you will also be required to provide information in support of central services and liaise with internal teams to ensure the best outcome for our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to build on their skills and experience within social housing and work for a progressive organisation, in a busy but dynamic team.
Skills and experiences:
Proven experience of working within the social housing sector will be a distinct advantage in this role, as will knowledge of relevant housing regulations and legislation. It is also important that you have previous experience of working within a tenancy focused management role with a demonstrable ability to work confidently and independently. Calling upon your excellent problem solving skills, you will use your initiative to solve complex queries and in the process, will build strong working relationships with internal and external customers. A basic understanding of Microsoft Office packages is desirable, along with the ability to update electronic systems. Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential.
