Housing Needs Manager
Newport City Council has a fantastic opportunity for an innovative, motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead a highly skilled team in addressing housing issues within the city.
The Council is committed to addressing the housing needs of all residents in partnership with a range of stakeholders and agencies, working across all areas to find innovative housing solutions.
The applicant will need to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of housing, with a particular emphasis on homelessness and prevention, along with a solid knowledge and understanding of other related areas, such as social care, public protection and health.
The role will be responsible for leading a team of staff across two teams (housing advice, and accommodation and support).
The individual will need to demonstrate leadership and experience at a senior level. It will be essential to have a proven ability in managing budgets, developing effective solutions to complex issues and knowledge of working with partnership agencies.
