We’re looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking housing professional to join our enthusiastic and high-performing Housing & Environmental Health Service. If you’re looking for the opportunity to prove your leadership ability and share fresh thinking in an organisation that’s ready to help you make an impact, this is the role for you.
You’ll take the lead for Test Valley’s affordable housing delivery and private sector housing matters, working corporately and with our communities to deliver new affordable housing; to improve housing standards; and to develop new and innovative strategies. This is a diverse and exciting job which will give you a real opportunity to grow the role and to personally develop.
You’ll need a track record of successful delivery in complex policy environments, complemented by the passion, ambition and creativity needed to continue innovating and developing our services. With a high standard of education and a corporate mindset, you’ll also be able to build effective relationships at all levels, both within and outside of the Council.
Test Valley Borough Council spans two market towns, beautiful chocolate box villages and miles of stunning countryside. As we’re located just off the A303, it’s an easy trip to surrounding towns and cities, and you can also get to London in just under an hour. We’re proud of our performance as a Council and, with a new Corporate Plan focused on “Growing our Potential”, there has never been a better time to join us and contribute to our success.
We have excellent employee satisfaction rates and other benefits of working here include a generous holiday allowance, on-site employee restaurant, subsidised leisure facilities, flexi-time, free parking and a defined benefits pension scheme.
For an informal discussion about this opportunity, please contact Phil Turner, Head of Housing & Environmental Health on 01264 368544.
For more information and to apply, please visit our website at http://www.testvalley.gov.uk/
Closing date for receipt of applications: midday, 16th October 2019
Interviews will be held on Thursday 7th and/or Friday 8th November 2019
