About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Project Manager to join us in supporting the delivery of affordable homes. You will assist with all stages of the development process with the main focus on the delivery of our affordable housing projects.

You will need to work closely with others both within Aster and externally to manage the successful handover of new homes. You will ultimately be managing a variety of affordable housing projects for Aster – attending site meetings and handovers; carrying out detailed reporting on cash flow, unit delivery and general progress; and making sure the properties are handed over both on time and in line with our standards on quality. As you progress you will also work on new business helping with the offers we make for affordable housing.

You will be working in a team at the very heart of Aster’s purpose and values to make sure everyone has a home. Supportive leadership sits alongside an environment where colleagues are given freedom and trusted to get the job done. We will provide appropriate on-the-job training alongside external training courses as required.

About you:

Primarily we want someone who wants this opportunity to work in affordable housing development. You need to be able to demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm for Aster’s work. You’ll be keen to develop yourself, be flexible and self motivated.

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate a good work ethic, excellent communication and negotiation skills and IT proficiency.

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that you can be based in Hampshire, Surrey or Sussex and have access to transport.
