Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: Up to £65,000

Based in Euston, London

The Health and Safety team are looking for a self-motivated and experienced person to assist Origin housing in developing and embedding the emerging legal requirements from the Safer Future review. This person will be great at managing their own workload and used to working in a fast paced time focused manner.

The Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing technical fire safety documents and translating them into documents that can be understood by non-technical persons.
• Be the ambassador for Fire Safety as well as subject matter expert on a wide range of topics and be the point of contact for the operational departments.
• Lead on the delivery of the fire requirements of a safer future including safety cases, resident engagement and providing assurances at all levels that our buildings are compliant to all legislative requirements.
• Liaise with the regulator and other enforcement agencies as necessary.  

The Ideal Candidate for the role:

• Must hold a nationally recognized fire qualification such as Fire Safety Management level 4 Diploma.
• Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (MIFireE) or equivalent.
• Will hold a NEBOSH Fire/General Certificate or equivalent
• The post holder will have experience of managing staff, delivering at all levels.
• Have minimum 5 years’ experience in residential fire safety and a detailed working knowledge of LACORS, National Fire Safety Guidance on Purpose Built Block of Flats and National Fire Safety Guidance on Specialised Housing as well as the proposed requirements of the Safer Future report.
