Do you have genuine interest in supporting people to rebuild their lives?
The Clearing House service coordinates the RSI partnership, providing access to supported social housing for clients with a history of rough sleeping. The aim is to maintain and strengthen existing partnerships across the sector, delivering an assessment and allocations service which meets the need of their clients and partners, and thereby offering an essential accommodation option for those leaving hostels and other homelessness services. This is a high profile service commissioned by the GLA, with the opportunity to promote best practice in the sector and work on a unique project which is at the centre of London’s response to rough sleeping.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing day to day operational duties, managing a small, high performing team to ensure they effectively manage the Clearing House waiting list as well as providing more strategic support to the Clearing House Manager. You will have the important role of leading projects and supporting staff while also matching homeless people from the waiting list to suitable accommodation and liaising with partner agencies to ensure and promote a successful service.
Excellent communication skills, an understanding of the issues faced by homeless people and the ability to use a range of IT applications are essential to this role. On top of this, the successful candidate will demonstrate a knowledge of housing management.
In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and initiatives to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities in support of their personal and professional development.
