Finance Operations Manager – New Home Development

 

Worcester

 

£59,724 per annum inclusive of policy allowance (rising to £62,867 inclusive of policy allowance after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

35 hours per week

 

 

We are building more homes than ever before. Through our exciting development programme we aspire to build 15,000 new homes. The Finance Operations Manager will join the Development Finance team who are responsible for the compilation, analysis and reporting of financial and management information in relation to all development schemes. From the initial bid for land to the handover to the resident we oversee the financial impact on the business. 

 

Reporting into the Finance Director for Development this role you will play a pivotal role in providing financial management and supporting the delivery of the Group’s capital programmes across our Development business. This is a great opportunity for a commercially and operationally focused Qualified Accountant looking to develop further or seeking a new challenge in their career.

 

The role of Finance Operations Manager – Development will include:

  • Ensuring senior business managers actively manage financial performance
  • Analysing the progress of all new housing programmes across England and Scotland
  • Reporting externally to regulatory bodies and ratings agencies
  • Report on financial performance to the Board of Beech Grove Homes
  • Co-ordinate with operational managers to develop business plans in order to maximise future performance, providing clear guidance, advice and support on financial management
  • Analysing  financial appraisals and sales performance in line with income and expenditure budget against the Group’s capital programme
  • Managing the compilation of the Development Investment cash flows for submission to Group Executives and Directors
  • Ensuring accurate management and statutory accounting information is recorded, maintained and reported
  • Managing a team who will be producing and monitoring financial information

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Hold a recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Have a proven track record within an operational and  commercial finance role with a strong focus on management accounting, cash flow forecasting and reporting
  • Previous experience gained in the new home development,  commercial house building or a similar commercial environment would be highly beneficial
  • Comprehensive experience of analysing capital projects and life cycles
  • Experience of business partnering with a range of stakeholders including senior leadership teams up to Board level
  • Experienced in managing staff with the ability to lead, influence and coach direct reports
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of SAP would be advantageous

  • Role Salary is £55,614 with an additional policy allowance of £4,109 per annum (rising to £58,541 with an additional policy allowance of £4,326 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
