Kingsmead – covering South England

 

£47,250 per annum (rising to £49,737 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

 

35 hours per week

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Lift Technician to join our Reinvestment Team based in London. The team delivers reinvestment works across the group’s housing portfolio, you will be required to work remotely and travel across the country. You’ll assist with delivery of the lift replacement programme and inspect works on site from start to completion, including reviewing and advising on technical queries to ensure compliance. This is a varied and challenging role which will suit an organized and proactive individual.

 

The role of Lifts Technician will include:

  • Monitoring the development and implementation of the lifts installation and modernisation specifications
  • Undertaking audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing the required changes
  • Developing and maintaining sufficient knowledge of current and new lift standards in line with health and safety regulations
  • Supporting the Asset Teams in delivering high quality and cost effective installations, modernisations, maintenance and servicing of lifts
  • Developing effective relationships with internal customers and support groups
  • Contributing as appropriate to special programmes and projects

 

Skills and experiences:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar Lifts Engineer/Technician role
  • Hold a Level 4 Certificate in Performing Testing Operations in the Lift and Escalator Industry (QCF) or equivalent
  • Ability to identify training needs and support staff development in fire safety
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel (or similar)
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
