As Rent Income Manager (known internally as Rent Services Manager), you will lead a team in supporting our clients by managing the rent collection function across St Mungo’s housing stock, reducing the level and incidence of arrears, maximising the collection of rent and minimising the financial hardship on our clients. This is a genuine opportunity to help rebuild the lives of vulnerable, homeless and disadvantaged people, playing a key role delivering St Mungo’s Rental Income Services and leading the Rents Service Team.

Our Rental Income Services main aim is to support people in keeping their homes and maintaining their tenancies and is made up of a variety of supported accommodation, such as care homes, hostels and private rented accommodation, with rental income at £42 million a year and over £1 million transactions per month.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the efficient administration of the rent account system and service charge administration
  • Managing the rents year-end processes, including notifying tenants of increases in charges and amending the accounting system accordingly
  • Managing the income collection service, ensuring that all appropriate action is undertaken to recover monies due

It is an exciting time to join the team, as we manage a diverse property portfolio, transition to new rent accounting and service desk software and remodel the team, which you will be a key part of.

If you have a recovery focussed approach and understand the needs of vulnerable, homeless or disadvantaged people we would be delighted to hear from you.
