Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Programme Management Business Partner to provide excellent customer service by working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our customers’ needs are met and the departmental/team objectives are achieved. You will join the team in Tower Bridge on a full time, 12 month fixed term contract and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £47,000 - £55,000 per annum.

The Programme Management Business Partner role:

There is a clear aspiration and commitment to transform Peabody’s offer and services for London and the South East through modern, cost-effective services.  The Transformation Directorate is responsible for providing technical know-how and expertise to drive a group-wide marked change in how Peabody, and its people, does business and achieves the synergies required to be a more effective and efficient organisation; modernising services for customers, driving value from change and helping Peabody take its place as one of the largest and most influential housing organisations in the country.

Responsibilities of our Programme Management Business Partner include:

- Meet regularly with the business to understand and access their change requirements, ensuring their needs are passed onto the relevant teams for progression. 

- Work across the department in the development of corporate principles of programme and portfolio management and assist teams across the business in interpreting and applying the guidelines

- Support and challenge business teams on their change journey, providing quality assurance, measuring outputs and outcomes and ensuring a consistent approach to the management of change

- Take a lead on supporting the business in the effective commissioning of projects that form part of the agreed change portfolio, advising on business cases and budgets prior to submission.

- Support the directorate Heads of Service in carrying out capacity and resource planning, and take a lead on embedding consistent principles into the business

- Monitor and review the directorate RAID log and be a risk champion for the directorate

- Help develop and maintain dynamic portfolio plans and dashboards in the directorate that communicate to the Exec/Change Board progress and problems.

- Develop and conduct deep dive activity or ‘health checks’ into projects that meet significant issues, and assist the business in finding corrective solutions 

- Ensure compliance and adherence to corporate practices and current applicable procurement and other relevant legislation to assure compliance and best practice methods are adhered to.  

What we’re looking for in our Programme Management Business Partner:

- Experience of supporting multi-disciplinary teams to deliver programmes effectively

- Experience of scoping and supporting the shaping of projects for a portfolio

-Excellent communication skills that generate confidence and respect with a wide variety of audiences

- A good understanding of practical tools and techniques in the areas of programme management, project management, change management and facilitation

- Ability to work independently and under pressure, exercising good initiative and judgement

- Proven time management and prioritisation skills and ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously

- Demonstrate willingness to be ‘hands on’ – to do as well as to manage

- A-level or equivalent formal education

- Certification in areas of project management or change management
