We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist (1 post) to join our Payroll team.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all payments including staff expenses are made within Onward policy and procedures. Ensure the system functionality is fit for purpose and delivers outputs which are compliant with statutory and legislative requirements.

Process monthly payrolls end to end, ensuring all payments are accurate and all responsibilities are met efficiently, effectively and all deadlines are met. In addition, responsible for processing monthly pension contributions. Maintain the administration of the payroll system and the payslip (EBIS) ensuring that new users are set up on the correct profile.

Maintain up to date knowledge of payroll and pensions legislation to ensure the system remains compliant and satisfies all regulatory and statutory obligations. Undertake testing of upgrades and completing year end and legislative changes, including global updates. Identify risk and opportunities and suggest changes to process which improve the delivery of payroll services.

Support the Payroll Manager with developing and streamlining current processes, including testing and implementing new processes and building reports to support processes. Support projects and train Payroll team on new functionality and  processes.

Deliver an efficient and effective payroll and pensions service to the business and provide relevant financial information to support operational teams and Business Plan objectives. 

To be successful you will have good knowledge of payroll processes and systems, good knowledge of Word and Excel, a Keen eye for detail and accuracy and GCSE in Mathematics or equivalent.
