An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ashfield District Council for an enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated Strategic Asset Manager to join our Assets and Investment Section. You will be based in Sutton-in-Ashfield and join us on a full time, permanent basis. In return, as our Strategic Asset Manager we will offer you a competitive salary of £42,683 - £45,591 per annum.

The Strategic Asset Manager role:

You will take strategic responsibility for the Council’s non-domestic building assets, including their utilisation, operation, investment requirements over a 30-year period, viability and corresponding disposal or retention.

Key responsibilities as our Strategic Asset Manager:

Day to day you will assist in the management of the following functions and their respective teams:

- Development and implementation of the Council’s climate change strategy including energy conservation and energy/ carbon management projects.
- Planned and reactive maintenance of public buildings.
- Facilities and building cleaning management.
- Car park maintenance and management.
