We need a multi-skilled housing professional who would relish the chance to lead a successful partnership of community-based housing organisations and take us forward to achieve higher standards in a challenging environment.
We have been developing and managing homes for over 40 years as fully mutual housing co-operatives, together owning over 200 homes. The Co-ops share an office in Archway and dedicated staff team of six. We have a strong asset base and an ambition to ensure our organisation and our property are genuinely sustainable into the future – continuing to provide social rented homes locally.
This role involves co-ordinating and managing the operation of our two Co-ops to ensure the provision of efficient and effective services to tenants, as well as leading the staff team and overseeing the governance, management, financial, legal, and maintenance operational aspects of the Co-ops’ business.
You will have awareness of community-led housing - the importance of truly sustainable housing in relation to the climate Crisis and fuel poverty – note that NCHC has just completed its first passivhaus retrofit.
You will need to be: dynamic, well organised, pro-active, and value working with people. You will be experienced in working in a managerial role, including line management, have excellent organisational skills and an ability to build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
Please apply by C.V. and covering letter to admin@nchc.org.uk or upload below.
Closing date 9am on Monday 4th November.
We expect to interview in the week of 11th November 2019.
