  • knowledge of housing provision, housing policy and/or housing finance, and an understanding of regulation and the non-profit housing association sector
  • an understanding of the political and policy framework and the ability to frame policy advice and guidance to Ministers and civil servants; and
  • an understanding of, and commitment to, equality and diversity.

Independent Members are expected to spend at least 5 days per quarter on RBW business. RBW business is conducted in locations across Wales.

It is the policy of the Welsh Government to promote and integrate equality of opportunity into all aspects of its business including appointments to public bodies. It welcomes and encourages applications from groups currently under-represented including women, minority ethnic communities and people with a disability.  The principles of fair and open competition will apply and appointments will be made on merit.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 25 October 2019.  Applications received after this date will not be considered. Interviews will be held on 02-05 December 2019.
