We are now seeking an Asset & Facilities Manager to oversee our facilities and act as our responsible person for Health and Safety matters related to buildings and facilities.

This is an incredible role for a proven facilities management professional to join one of the leading housing providers in the South-West and oversee facilities at our corporate home, Coastline House.

Your Role

As the Asset & Facilities Manager, you will manage our corporate facilities and act as the ‘Responsible Person’ for health and safety matters in relation to our headquarters at Coastline House in Redruth.

Ensuring all corporate buildings are compliant with relevant legislation and regulation, you will provide expert facilities management support to premises managers at other corporate buildings.

Specifically, your role will involve:

  • Managing a budget of around £2,000,000 per year
  • Directly managing cleaning contracts for corporate buildings and residential properties
  • Managing the team responsible for stock condition surveying and external maintenance contracts
  • Managing the five year cyclical stock condition survey programme
  • Assisting the Property Investment Manager to develop long term stock-wide planned maintenance and investment programmes


About You

To be considered as the Asset & Facilities Manager, you will need:

  • At least three years’ relevant facilities management experience
  • Relevant knowledge to ensure legal compliance in respect of corporate buildings including offices, extra care facilities and homeless service properties
  • A significant understanding of hard FM services and office maintenance arrangements
  • Team management experience
  • An understanding of relevant Health and Safety related practices
  • Sound budget management skills and ability to deliver best value for contractual works
  • Knowledge of the application of CDM Regulations
  • An awareness of all relevant legislation and regulations including the H&S of Work Act 1974, COSHH and RIDDOR
  • A NEBOSH Diploma qualification, Level 4/HNC in construction, maintenance or related water/drainage qualification

A legionella management and asbestos management qualification, such as a Legionella Responsible Person and P405) and/or Level 4 Gas Safety Management Qualification would be beneficial to your application, however training will be provided for both of these if required.
