Maintenance Surveyor - Voids

Location: Bedford

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £30,000 plus £2,000 essential car user allowance

bpha is a Housing Association located in the Oxford to Cambridge corridor, which is committed to providing its customers with high quality, value for money services whilst continuing to develop energy efficient, sustainable and affordable housing.

We are currently looking for an experienced trades professional to provide a comprehensive, high quality voids and maintenance service to our customers.

What you will be doing: 

• Carrying out pre-void inspections and assess any damage/disrepair.
• Ensuring that any void refurbishment works meet the current void standard and health and safety legislation.
• Monitoring contractors work and performance.
• Ensuring that stock condition surveys are completed on every void property.

 We’d love to meet someone with:  

• Previous experience of carrying out specifications to void properties.
• Good working knowledge of building construction / trades.
• Knowledge of the Housing Health and Safety Rating System.
• A minimum qualification of ONC/HNC/NVQ (or equivalent) in a relevant trade/occupation.
• A drive to deliver exceptional customer service.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
