Multi-Trade Operative

 

Covering Chelmsford, Braintree and Witham

 

£29,096 per annum (rising to £30,267 after 12 months service, subject to satisfactory performance

 

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

 

 

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative – Plumber to join our Planned and Responsive Maintenance team based in Rochford. You will form part of a large team, working across Essex, on repair and refurbishment works on both occupied and void properties, carrying out fault fixing and maintenance repairs, completing all jobs to a high standard and ensuring health and safety compliance at all times. Ideally you will need to have a G3 unvented certificate, City & Guilds or NVQ qualification, at least 3 years experience. Working in social housing is preferred as well as domestic and commercial plumbing knowledge.

 

About you

Your previous multi-trade experience combined with your excellent customer service skills and high attention to detail will be key to your success. You will specialise on plumbing and have primary skills in at least three trades to include vented & unvented cylinders, wall tiling or flooring. Additional skills in plastering, carpentry and shower installations including wiring would be desirable but are not essential. You will have the ability to work to deadlines, prioritise workload and plan ahead. A flexible approach is required, as we operate an out of hours service/emergency call-out on a rotational basis. This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
