Location : Camden, London

Salary : £32,000 - £33,000

Hours : Full time - 35 hours per week

We are searching for an experience Community Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be required to pro-actively support and advise residents and Housing Services staff in preventing and tackling anti-social behaviour and developing appropriate responses and solutions in conjunction with partner agencies. To assist the Housing Services management team in developing strategy, policy and procedures in relation to anti-social behaviour issues. The candidate will therefore need to be focussed, have excellent communication skills and a passion for this type of work.

Duties :

  • Responsibility for delivering an effective Anti-Social Behaviour service across the estates within the Camden region. Inclusive of receiving reports of ASB, acknowledging them within 24 hours and resolving them within the time frame stipulated by One Housing’s policy and procedure.
  • Supporting and assisting Housing Officers with the investigation of ASB and Tenancy Fraud cases, and ensure early intervention. This will involve personally collecting evidence, preparing statements, and assist in implementing agreed action plans. 
  • Instigating formal measures to resolve ASB and Tenancy Fraud and attending and presenting cases at court as necessary, facilitating witnesses and risk assessing all parties.
  • Facilitating and attending multi-agency case conferences and problem-solving groups, coordinating action plans and reviews.
  • Maintaining a database of Anti-Social Behaviour incidents and action plans and managing a caseload accordingly that will meet our corporate KPIs.

About You :

  • Previous experience within a similar role is required
  • Experience of managing cases of nuisance, harassment, anti-social behaviour and mental health
  • Have a strong understand of community safety legislation
  • Experience of working with the public and strong communication on all levels
