We are excited to confirm that to facilitate and support our asset management functions, we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Building Surveyor to join our team.

Ideally we are looking for a Surveyor with an MRICS qualification, but would still like to hear from you, if you meet all the other criteria.

About Agudas Israel Housing Association (AIHA):

AIHA is a registered housing association whose main aims include providing high quality housing for families in need, homes for the frail and elderly, and hostels for mental health.

AIHA currently owns and manages over 800 units located in the London boroughs of Hackney, and Haringey, and also in Barnet and Salford - Greater Manchester.

About The Role:

The post holder will be required to lead a small team of maintenance assistants and operatives and will assist in all asset management functions. It is anticipated that you will deliver a wide variety of projects, including responsive repairs, defect and damp diagnosis, condition surveys, planned maintenance programmes, and project management.

Desired Skills and Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in Building Surveying
  • Hold MRICS qualification
  • Strong organisational skills to manage workload
  • Clear understanding of procurement methods 
  • Willingness to self-develop and learn
  • Be adaptable and flexible with a dedicated attitude
  • Possess knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office suite
