Our Successful Candidate will:

Implement new Contracts KPIs, ensuring all data and reporting leads in our partners/suppliers are clear about data governance and performance reporting requirements; Develop and maintain the Contractors KPI reporting system and various data repositories, analysing data and information to provide accurate and timely management information reports to support the HtB Business; Participate in discussions with product, policy and risks teams regarding the business value of 3rd party data sources, develop and leverage tools, data analysis techniques and monitor processes to improve the scale and scope of 3PD analytic capabilities; Perform analysis of 3rd party data implementations and understand the impacts of decisions on the broader organization, creating and maintaining robust Business Critical Systems & Key Data Repositories for the H2B business; Provide MI through the provision of regular and adhoc reports by determining and advising what analysis is required and what methodologies are best suited, making the best use of available data; Deliver fit for purpose and accurate MI, statistics, forecasts, analysis and workforce intelligence at pace, to a wide range of senior stakeholders; Deliver excellent services in analysing complex data and information and provide MI through regular system updates and database maintenance; Be a highly professional, reliable resource in database development and management to support regular performance management and analytics for the H2B teams by answering questions on procedures, policies, and directives of all aspects of the HtB Business;

 

We are looking for:

Essential Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience: • Degree or appropriate professional qualifications/equivalent experience (relevant Microsoft SQL Server Certification). • Highly numerate, strong experience of data analysis, modelling, interpretation and 3rd Party data transfers and reconciliation. • Strong spreadsheet skills (with understanding that initial database prototypes may need to be developed in excel for proof of concept) and statistical / database packages, preferably with working experience of programming. • Apply statistical / other analytical techniques, incl. development/modelling of databases using MS Excel, incl. manipulating complex data sets. • MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, Microsoft SQL Server (minimum of 2008, 2008R2, 2012, 2014) • Languages ASP, XML, HTML, NET; Supporting software e.g. Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager (SCOM) or similar e.g. Spotlight, Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server.

 

The skills we would like are:

• Proficient in methods of identifying and abstracting issues into problem statements and drive resolutions forward, making tactical/strategic recommendations. • Define and build processes to support the database admin function (e.g. manage users, handle change requests). • Use different sized datasets (large/small), identifying and investigating anomalies in data. • Client facing and building relationships to progress and improve database administration. • Strong communication skills to share statistical analysis with a nonspecialist audience. Assist in leading discussions and proposing solutions. • Capture business reporting needs and define/deliver solutions including track record in identifying process improvement opportunities and driving solutions. • Perform a range of quality assurance checks and draw out the main messages from data, analysis and research, and identify essential supporting information. Working to tight deadlines, prioritising competing demands, managing ambiguity and focusing on achieving results in high pressure environments. • Work with, influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders; Presenting high quality reporting to different users in a clear and consistent manner. • Develop standards and processes and encourage (or enforce) the use of those standards and processes. • Excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail. • Team player and ability to adapt to a different environment and adjust outputs according to emerging asks. Commercial - Using communication, influencing skills and tenacity to effectively progress complex situations and achieve results. Collaborative - Identifying common goals and objectives to arrive at a joint solution.
