Who we are
We were set up in 2003 as an arm’s length management organisation (ALMO) to manage and maintain Cheltenham
Borough Council’s housing stock.
As the biggest landlord in Cheltenham and a key provider of social housing, we have responsibility for managing over 5,000 homes including social and affordable rent, shared ownership and leasehold properties.
For over a decade we have been steadily increasing and improving the services we offer to tenants and leaseholders and increasingly the wider community.
We have a friendly, creative and energetic workforce of over 180 people whose passion and determination help us to go above and beyond our core function of providing a home for those who need it the most.
The Vacancy:
An opportunity has arisen in our Property Services Department for a Building Surveyor to work within the Technical & Investment team delivering planned and cyclical maintenance together with general asset management functions to manage, maintain and improve the buildings within our managed portfolio.
The successful candidate’s principal role will be to take the lead in the project management of an ongoing £13m replacement of windows and doors contract and will be supported by a Resident Liaison Officer and the Asset & Investment Manager. This will include contract administration, site inspections and project planning to ensure quality, compliance with contractual requirements and importantly also ensuring excellent customer service.
