Recruitment of Audit and Risk Committee Chair and members

  • Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee £3,075
  • Board member and member of the Audit and Risk Committee £2,050
  • Independent Committee member £1,200

We are a proactive community-based housing association and we own and manage over 1500 homes across Croydon, Bromley, Sutton and Merton.  We have an ambitious acquisitions and development programme which will increase the number of homes we own to more than 1830 homes by the end of 2020.  We have 25 homes due for completion before the end of this financial year and further 105 due to start on site. We have also delivered some of our first shared ownership homes that have been well received, and the majority were sold off plan. To help us achieve our aim of developing more social housing we have established a new development company which will undertake for-profit sales.

We have a committed team of over 40 staff delivering high quality services to our residents and we are developing more homes within the community.  Housing is just one part of the puzzle and in order to truly transform lives we need to look beyond bricks and mortar. For this reason, we provide a wide range of services to our residents, including specialist money and welfare advice, digital inclusion and employment programmes.

Our Board is passionate about leading an organisation that makes a valued contribution to delivering excellent homes and services to our customers and communities. These are challenging times, but we like a challenge and are determined to remain financially strong, proactive and committed to growth. We are looking for a new Committee Chair and both board and committee members with relevant experience in audit and risk and relationship management with internal and external auditors to join us. Knowledge and experience of financial and asset management would also be advantageous.

Our Board comprises 10 members, including the Chief Executive, who are highly skilled and dedicated individuals. These are key leadership roles for CCHA and opportunities to share our dedication, commit to our values and be able to make a real contribution to the communities that we serve.

For an informal discussion with Sue Manning please contact Sue at sue@foresthr.co.uk or via Heather Taylor m:07779 629455.
