Assistant Contracts Manager

 

Worcester

 

£38,127 per annum (rising to £40,134 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance) plus company car or car allowance

 

35 hours per week

 

 

As Assistant Contracts Manager you will be part of the Contract Management function of the Group Procurement and Fleet team. The team has been structured to deliver maximum value for money across all of Sanctuary’s procurement and fleet activity whilst maintaining fair and equitable practices that are consistent with the vision and values of the organisation. Although part of the Group Procurement and Fleet team, the role will primarily be responsible for contracts relating to the Maintenance team and as such will form very close links with them.

 

The Group Procurement and Fleet team are dedicated to providing and supporting excellent contract management to ensure that Sanctuary is able to achieve its vision to become a market leader in terms of quality, innovation and performance. The ideal candidate will thrive on working independently in a fast paced role and will quickly grasp the intricacies of the relevant contracts.

 

The role of Assistant Contracts Manager will include:

  • Managing the interface between key suppliers and internal operational stakeholders
  • Ensuring all structures are in place to enable the smooth running of the contracts
  • Monitoring performance of the contractors. Sourcing and creating reports to evidence this and identify possible improvements
  • Identifying any shortfalls in service  and managing relevant improvement projects
  • Acting as a point of expertise for colleagues, supporting and informing future tenders and contracts
  • Forming strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Regular travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving license is essential

 

Skills and experiences:

  • A degree, management qualification or other relevant professional qualification and willingness to work towards other qualifications as appropriate
  • Previous experience in managing/monitoring supply contracts
  • Understanding of project management methodologies to effectively manage contract teams
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work loads to produce quality and accurate work under pressure
  • Proficient user in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to analyse data in a number of forms
  • Knowledge and experience within maintenance or materials sectors is highly advantageous
