The Help to Buy (HtB) Equity Loan seeks to stimulate demand for new homes by improving affordability. This contributes toward Homes England's delivery of 300,000 new homes pa and towards the objective of delivering home ownership products with an industry standard service to consumers. This role sits within Customer Excellence Unit, providing the business, contract and operational management of our 3rd Party Contracts with the HtB Agents and Mortgage Administrator. The Customer Excellence team supports customers throughout their interactions with the Help to Buy programme. They are responsible for delivering fair customer outcomes and industry standard customer service through the whole customer journey from first contact to redemption. You will need to demonstrate leadership in looking after the best interests of customers and taxpayers. Rigorous management of third-party vendors and IT providers is critical to the role. The individual is responsible for ensuring delivery of KPIs, behaviours and an industry standard customer experience. You will also develop a culture of continuous improvement to ensure that both good and bad outcomes are identified, learned from and that appropriate changes are embedded into business as usual.

Our successful candidate will:

Manage the supplier relationship on a day to day basis and cover all commercial and service elements of the contract, including the financial management of the contract. Building and maintaining a long-term relationship with the 3rd Party Providers, ensuring that the 3rd Party Suppliers participate in the Contract Management processes with equal commitment on both sides. Ensuring that the services provided continue to meet the business requirements and best value criteria, and that they are delivered within contract framework and all relevant standards. Continually checking and reporting that the HE is receiving demonstrable value for money from provided products and services. Acting as the prime point of contact for the 3rd Party Suppliers with regard to escalation of issues including incident, problem, change and requests. Acting as the conduit for Contract Change Notices (CCN) to and from 3rd Party Providers, ensuring that Variation Orders (VOs) and CCNs are progressed through to completion. Managing and contributing to supplier service improvement initiatives and ensure they are produced, proactively and delivered. Commercial acumen and an understanding of; bids, tenders, proposals, negotiations and contract management.

The skills we would like are:

Experience working with contracts, commercial, sales, procurement, or legal agreements with working knowledge of contracts and standard contracting terms for supply of goods and services. Experience managing vendors and suppliers with strong working knowledge of tools and processes such as Cost Management, Finance/Budget management and Sourcing. High level of competency of the Microsoft suite of tools (in particular excel). Degree level qualification or equivalent professional experience supported by commercial qualifications with relevant professional membership. Strong organisational and analytical skills with an ability to identify and help deliver process improvements. Reliable, enthusiastic and able to work effectively in a team with strong stakeholder building skills with cross-functional colleagues
