This role

As the Housing Services Officer in Clapham you will be the local liaison person responsible for the day to day monitoring of service standards and lease compliance where leasehold is the sole or majority tenure. You will be the face of MTVH and a point of contact where residents prefer a personal service instead of available digital channels.

This will include providing information on service charges, building issues and assist with resolving any neighbour disputes. Ensuring any concerns are managed by the appropriate teams and monitor, record and report on the quality of addressing such concerns. Key is to signpost residents towards appropriate utility providers.

As a pivotal part of the team you will be the lead for taking responsibility for addressing safeguarding issues, managing and investigate any allegations of anti-social behaviour and other lease compliance issues. In addition ensuring housekeeping compliance for the reduction of fire and other H&S risks.

What you'll need to succeed

As this role involves a significant amount of time visiting customers in the community it is essential that you have a full and valid driving license and access to own vehicle. You will need to have strong people skills, be an excellent communicator and have the ability to build and sustain working relationships.

As a senior member of the team prior knowledge and experience of working within a housing role is essential. In particular knowledge of Housing Law, and knowledge of the local area is required. You should demonstrate previous experience of working with Legal Housing documents.
