Following a corporate restructure and the approval of a Housing Improvement Plan, we are now looking to appoint a new Housing Asset Manager to help drive forward the work of the newly formed Housing and Communities directorate and play a lead role in reshaping our housing and landlord services to deliver better outcomes for our tenants.

In this pivotal role, you will use your experience and expertise to lead a newly formed Housing Asset team to deliver a range of improvements in partnership with our housing repairs contractor. We are aware of challenges in our housing function which is why we have committed a major investment into the service area to reshape and improve the way the service is currently delivered

About you

We are looking for a someone who has a BSc in Building Surveying or another relevant degree, with experience of managing social housing stock and delivering day to day repairs and maintenance projects by working closely with the tenants and contractors.

You will be an innovative and creative thinker prepared to investigate and promote new ideas and solutions to support development of corporate strategies and improvements. Being able to coach and support a new team to develop themselves and deliver service excellence will be key.
