Riverside have a new opportunity for a Planning & Business Development Officer, working full-time, on a fixed term basis, until 30th June 2020.

What will you do?

You will support colleagues in strategic and operational business planning, monitoring and identifying opportunities for commercial growth and service development of the social housing business.

Day to day:

Your key responsibilities as Riverside’s Planning & Business Development Officer will include:

• Manage the development and communication of the Social Housing Business Plan, proactively engaging with key stakeholders to secure buy-in; ensuring that the Group Planning and Performance Management Framework is effectively embedded across the business.

• Engage and manage the relationships with national and regional shared services and other internal teams to ensure effective communication of social housing requirements and promote a coordinated planning approach across the Group, to support the delivery of the Corporate Strategy.

• Monitor, review and report progress to key stakeholders, including senior managers and board members on performance against the Social Housing Business Plan; overseeing the implementation of appropriate actions to address shortfalls in achievement of targets.

• Research and proactively identify, develop and cultivate opportunities for nationwide commercial business growth, service developments and improvements that are informed by external good practice; through building strong relationships, effective networking, partnerships and maintaining a detailed understanding of the market.

• Carry out detailed option appraisal modelling, feasibility analysis and recommendations commentary of opportunities for commercial business growth and service development.

Does this describe you?

You will have experience of business development in the housing sector and possess strong stakeholder management skills. A proven track record of coordinating and planning services is also essential.

You will be results driven, with strong analytical skills and experience of providing meaningful analysis of data, including management information. Being customer focused, with excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to work at all levels within the business, is also a requirement.
