Riverside have a new opportunity for an Employment & Training Project Officer, working full-time, on a permanent basis.

What will you do?

To be a fundamental part of our Income Maximisation team (Employment & Training, Money Advice, Affordable Warmth) and work collaboratively supporting our frontline staff to maximise our customers opportunities through developing their employability skills through 1:1 support, job clubs, volunteering opportunities, training, building confidence and motivation to either move into sustainable employment or closer to the job market, contributing to the Riverside vision of sustaining tenancies and revitalising neighbourhoods.

Day to day

Your key responsibilities as Riverside’s Employment & Training Project Officer will include:

•  Publicise the Employment and Training service to our customers, external partner agencies and internal stakeholders.
•  Maintain and develop collaboration of the two way referral process with colleagues in housing, income collection, other internal stakeholders and the income maximisation team to support sustainable tenancies
•  Provide an outreach programme in priority areas to engage with customers offering a holistic service that meets their individual needs.
•  Undertake customer assessments to identify barriers, employability skills, training needs and develop SMART action plans to achieve their goals.
•  Identify partners and organisations in the local area that customers can be referred to for training courses and work related activities to personally develop and enhance their opportunities to secure employment.

Does this describe you?

You will be possess the ability to work autonomously within the Employment & Training provision, meeting our customers individual needs, through delivering employability support, in a range of community venues. You must also be receptive to new ideas and responsive to change, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Also, it is essential that you hold a valid UK driving licence, with access to a vehicle for business use. Academically, a GCSE in both English and Maths are also required.
