A new opportunity exists for a talented Governance Manager to join and strengthen our professional Governance team. The Governance team provides assurance to the Management Board that Lewisham Homes is doing the right things in terms of audit, risk and compliance activities.

We are looking for a high performing individual able to work and thrive in a high volume, faced paced housing sector environment and who is keen to bring their passion and knowledge of governance to Lewisham Homes. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Responsible for managing the Group’s governance arrangements and ensuring that a robust and compliant governance framework is maintained. 
• Ensuring compliance with legislation in relation to corporate governance matters, for example the Companies Act, Corporate Criminal Offence, Anti-Money Laundering. 
• Responsible for the oversight of the ongoing assessment of compliance with regulatory standards.
• Ensuring matters of corporate governance dealt with correctly and detailed and accurate records (including statutory records) are maintained. 

You should have a proven record as a Governance Manager. Highly motivated with a passion to succeed. Able to identify opportunities for advancing the organisation’s mission while maintaining an awareness of the business areas and associated risk.

What we are looking for:

• Senior managerial level & managing managers experience
• Experience of developing & implementing strategy
• Strong leadership, communication and management skills
• High level of IT literacy and a good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
