Operative Supervisor
12 Months FTC
£40,314 pa

We have a vacancy for an Operatives Supervisor within our busy Asset Management team for someone who has the right skills, values, behaviours and attitudes to be the difference which are:

Who we are looking for
We`re looking for someone who:
-
Holds, or is working towards, a recognised qualification in building surveying
-
Experience in maintenance or building environment with knowledge of building construction
-
Is able to manage and motivate a team effectively
-
Has experience of carrying out H+S inspections
-
Able toliaise with developers and the management of defect works
-
Experience of line managing maintenance operatives
-
Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation including CDM
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a `can-do` attitude who is able to work under pressure to achieve set targets and meet deadlines for ensuring Hightown`s properties are properly managed and maintained to meet and exceed our resident`s expectations.
About the role
You`ll be working as part of our busy internal Asset Management team who manage 7,000 homes across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire. You will:

Provide support to the Property Services Manager to ensure the Association`s properties are properly managed and maintained.

Produce detailed specifications, to enable the Association to obtain comparable quotes and tenders.

Supervise the associations Fixed Wire Operatives, ensuring they complete a programme of fixed wired testing and complete electrical repairs, allocating work on a programmed and ad-hoc basis.

Supervise the caretaking team, ensuring estates are attended to on a regular and/or ad-hoc basis as required and maintained to a good standard.
In addition to the above, the post holder may be required to manage the standard of a number of the Association`s properties. To take ownership for the standard of communal areas and appearance of the properties, carry out inspections and following up actions needed to maintain the expected standards agreed with residents
